Ashley Laurence is an American actress and artist, best known for her role as Kirsty Cotton in the Hellraiser horror film series, a defining role in her career. She was born in Los Angeles, California. Her breakthrough came in 1987 when she was cast in Hellraiser, the cult classic directed by Clive Barker. Laurence's portrayal of Kirsty, a young woman facing off against the terrifying Cenobites, made her an icon in the horror genre.
Beyond her work in Hellraiser and its sequels, she has appeared in various other films and TV shows, including Lurking Fear (1994), Warlock III: The End of Innocence (1999), and guest roles on popular TV series like Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Suddenly Susan. Laurence has also lent her voice to video games, most notably as the character Missy Carter in The Vanishing of Ethan Carter (2014).
